Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he held a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and officials from the President’s Office to discuss upcoming diplomatic priorities.
He noted that personal assignments and performance assessment criteria have been set for each ambassador.
"Today, in the format of a meeting with ambassadors, we will determine the key priorities of Ukrainian diplomacy for the next six months," Zelenskyy said.
On July 9, Babel, citing sources, reported that Zelenskyy had appointed Svitlana Zalishchuk as Ukraine’s new ambassador to Sweden.
ZN.UA also reported two additional appointments: Yaroslav Melnyk was named ambassador to Belgium, and Andriy Plahotniuk was appointed ambassador to Canada. Melnyk previously served as ambassador to Italy, while Plahotniuk represented Ukraine in Sweden.
On July 10, Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, would be replaced.
Most recently, on July 17, the President said he had signed a decree appointing Olha Stefanishyna as the special representative of the President of Ukraine for the development of cooperation with the United States.
