The two leaders met at the European Political Community summit in the UK.
In a Twitter post, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine values Denmark's leadership in a multilateral effort to help transition Ukraine’s Air Force from Soviet-era jets to modern Western-made aircraft.
“During our meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, we discussed the implementation of the [bilateral] security cooperation agreement, the need to expand the training missions for Ukrainian pilots, Ukraine's reconstruction, and European integration,” the president said.
He also thanked the Danish government for investing directly in Ukraine's domestic defense industry.
Previously, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said that Denmark would cease training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets in 2025 as the country transitions to more modern F-35 aircraft.
