The officials met on the sidelines of the 20th annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) forum in Kyiv.
“I had a very productive meeting with Denmark’s Minister of Defense,” the president said.
“Denmark is the first country with which we have started joint arms production… Together we are making Bohdana self-propelled howitzers. Of course, we also discussed other aspects of our cooperation, including the F-16s.”
In turn, Poulsen stated that he arrived in Kyiv with Danish parliamentarians from various parties to see firsthand what has been achieved in Ukraine thanks to Denmark’s assistance and to understand the current needs of the Ukrainian military.
Zelenskyy praised Denmark’s leading role in supporting Ukraine’s domestic defense industry. He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and the Danish people for their support.
