Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that all nations "that deserve it" should become members of the European Union, citing the Balkans, Moldova, Georgia, and Belarus, reports European Pravda.
Ukraine has met all conditions to initiate EU membership talks in June, awaiting the steps to commence accession negotiations, President Zelenskyy stated. He said that granting candidate status to deserving nations for EU inclusion.
"Europe encompasses the Balkans and Moldova, and there will be a Europe Day for Georgia and Belarus," Zelenskyy affirmed, supported by European Parliament representatives.
Roberta Metsola visited Kyiv on May 9, coinciding with Europe Day in the EU. She participated in the second International Summit of Cities and Regions alongside Zelenskyy, Speaker Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Shmyhal, and other officials.
