Attending the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit, Zelenskyy noted the significance of Serbia's role in promoting Ukraine's peace plan. The leaders also planned further diplomatic efforts to broaden international support for Kyiv.
The Ukrainian president expressed gratitude to Vucic for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty, offering humanitarian aid, and sheltering Ukrainians displaced by the ongoing war.
The agenda included discussions on political and security matters in Eastern Europe and the battlefield conditions in Ukraine.
At the summit, Zelenskyy also held talks with Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, and chairwoman of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo.
In his summit debrief, Zelenskyy warned of continued global destabilization if Russia is not placed under sustained international pressure to halt its invasion of Ukraine.
