Ukraine is offering Poland cooperation on drone defense and maritime security, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Dec. 19.

“Today Ukraine possesses the most advanced technologies for protecting human lives and some of the strongest weapons-production capabilities. These are modern, effective weapons, and I am offering Poland all of this experience,” the head of state said at a news conference with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

He noted that Ukraine knows how to defend against all types of drones used by the aggressor state, Russia, which pose a threat to Europe’s security.

Zelenskyy stressed that Kyiv can also offer Warsaw cooperation on maritime security. He said this is important given “Poland’s positions in the Baltic Sea.”

The president added that Ukraine is ready to continue security dialogue with Poland, taking into account threats coming from Belarus.

On Dec. 19, Zelenskyy, during an official visit to Poland, met with Nawrocki.

Presidential press secretary Serhii Nykyforov said that while in Poland, Zelenskyy will also hold talks with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The president is also scheduled to meet separately with the speaker of the Polish Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and the speaker of the Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.
