Zelenskyy stated that he had received reports from frontlines forces in the hottest combat zones – the Khortitsa and Tavria troop groupings.
“The fighting is intense, but we have movement, and this is very important,” he said.
“The enemy is taking the sort of losses we need them to. And while the weather these last days has not been favorable – the rain complicates our tasks – the fortitude of our soldiers gives us results regardless, and thanks to every single person who is currently in combat, everyone, who supports our military brigades in their respective directions.”
According to Zelenskyy, he has discussed the victories of the Armed Forces, the parts of the front that need reinforcements, and the actions which allow for the “destruction of a larger number of Russian positions” during a recent meeting with military leadership. He also thanks soldiers for returning the Ukrainian flag to its “legally-mandated place” in the liberated territories, and for filling up the prisoner exchange fund.
Ukraine’s military leadership is also working on stabilization scenarios for liberated territories, he noted.
“We’re very actively working on the delivery of necessary weapons and munitions,” Zelenskyy said.
“And there was a report from intelligence – on the variants of the enemy’s movements. We’re maintaining and strengthening our operational dominance. And I’m separately grateful for Bakhmut – we’re increasing our zone of control in that direction.”
