"Putin is not preparing for peace - he continues to kill Ukrainians and destroy cities," he said, stressing the importance of strong action, pressure, unity and support from Ukraine's partners to stop Russian terror.

A series of powerful explosions rocked Kyiv shortly after the air raid alert was declared at 4:27 a.m. EET in response to the threat of ballistic missile strikes. Several fires and a partial power outage were reported in the capital.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia fired six Iskander-M ballistic missiles and launched 123 attack drones into the country overnight.
