The ministry clarified that the restrictions target manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials, equipment and electronics used to produce missiles, drones, military aircraft and armored vehicles.
The first sanctions list includes 51 individuals and 44 legal entities linked to the production of ballistic missiles, including Iskander, Kalibr, Kh-101 and Kinzhal missiles. Among them are companies that produce raw materials for the defense industry, develop optical and electronic devices, manufacture equipment for missile systems and participate in the modernization of military hardware.
The second sanctions package targets 32 Russian citizens and 35 Russian companies that supply defense manufacturers with industrial equipment, tools, electronic components and raw materials. In particular, Gagaring supplies communications and control equipment for FPV drones, Virgin-EK provides foreign electronic components, and the Pressmash machine-tool manufacturing association supplies metalworking equipment to companies involved in producing Kh-101 and Kh-59 missiles and Orion drones.
Sanctions were also imposed on companies belonging to Russia's RUSAL industrial group, whose products are used to manufacture military aircraft, armored vehicles, missiles and drones. According to the data provided, two companies within the group imported aluminum oxide worth nearly 150 million rubles into Russia between April 2024 and March 2025. The raw material was used to manufacture military products.
On Feb. 8, Zelenskyy announced sanctions against companies and individuals involved in producing Russian missiles and drones, as well as supplying foreign components for their manufacture. The restrictions also target Russian financial institutions used to pay for these supplies, along with companies linked to Russia's cryptocurrency market and mining industry.
