Speaking to journalists online while en route to Berlin, he stressed the importance of Ukraine’s neighborhood with Poland.
“As for my visit to Poland, the Polish side has предложed Friday. I think we will not postpone anything. It is very important for us to maintain relations between us and Poland,” he said.
Zelenskyy likely meant the coming Friday, Dec. 19.
Earlier, Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, said in an interview with Polish media that Zelenskyy could meet with his Polish counterpart, Karol Nawrocki, before the end of 2025.
On Dec. 9, Marcin Przydacz, head of the Polish president’s Bureau of International Policy, said Poland was working to agree on a date for a future meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw.
On Nov. 24, during a joint news conference with Czech President Petr Pavel in Prague, Nawrocki once again invited the Ukrainian president to visit Poland.
On Nov. 12, Nawrocki said he had invited President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit Warsaw to thank Poles for their assistance and to meet Ukrainians currently living in the country.
