During his meeting with EU leaders in Cyprus, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy secured funding commitments for NATO’s PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on April 24.

Sybiha called the Cyprus meetings a "turning point."

"Ukraine, the Ukrainian people and the president endured the blow,” the minister told Ukrainian TV broadcasters, referring to Hungary and Slovakia blocking EU aid for several months.

“It was a fight that involved our partners and the whole diplomatic toolkit. It was one of the most difficult tasks, but it was accomplished.”

He said Zelenskyy reached separate agreements on new PURL contributions and on additional aid packages for Ukraine.
