Zelenskyy said both leaders agreed that relations between Ukraine and Serbia should be strong and that there is potential to develop them further. He added that Ukraine’s Deputy PM for Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka will be working in Belgrade in the coming days.
“We expect mutually beneficial agreements, including on resuming talks on a free-trade agreement with Serbia,” the Ukrainian leader added.
“The president also outlined his diplomatic agenda for the near future. We agreed to stay in touch.”
On May 19, Serbian broadcaster N1, citing diplomatic
sources in Belgrade, reported that Serbia expects a visit this week by a
Ukrainian delegation that could be led by Zelenskyy.
