Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, which will take place from Jan. 20 to 24, WEF President Børge Brende announced on Jan. 14.

According to Swiss broadcaster SRF, Brende said that delegations from more than 130 countries, including over 60 heads of state and government, as well as more than 1,600 business representatives, are expected at the event.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will not attend in person but will join online and deliver a speech on Jan. 23.

Brende mentioned that representatives of Trump's new administration are expected to arrive closer to the final day of the annual gathering.

Zelensky is set to arrive in Davos on Jan. 21. This will mark his second appearance at the WEF following his debut in 2024.

Among the European leaders participating in the forum, Brende mentioned European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

In 2024, Politico recognized the Ukrainian House in Davos, featuring the exhibition "Deciding Your Tomorrow," as the best pavilion of that year’s forum. The exhibition in Davos in 2024 showcased an interactive map of Russian war crimes and TikTok testimonies of Ukrainians as they experience the brutal war of Russian aggression.
