The head of the Security Service of Ukraine also reported significant results in the destruction of Russian air defense systems.
The president praised the work of the SBU’s Special Operations Center “A” fighters operating in the Pokrovsk sector, where they eliminate more than 100 invaders daily. According to Zelenskyy, Russian troops have been ordered to storm positions “at any cost,” leading to increased losses. Over the past month, the Special Operations Center “A” fighters have killed 3,028 enemy troops, the president said.
“The SBU continues its work to dismantle Russian intelligence networks. I also approved our operations aimed at reducing Russia’s military potential,” Zelenskyy’s statement said.
On Sept. 27, reports said long-range drones from the SBU’s Special Operations Center “A” struck a pumping station in the village of Konar in the Chuvash Republic, about 1,200 kilometers from Ukraine.
On Oct. 3, NV sources within the SBU confirmed another strike — this time on an oil refinery in the city of Orsk in Russia’s Orenburg Oblast, 1,400 kilometers away.
