Russia hammers Ukrainian retail network, Auchan depot damaged in air raid

Russian drone wreckage damaged the roof of an Auchan supermarket chain warehouse in an aerial attack, the retailer's press service reported on Facebook on Aug. 31.
No staff members were injured in the strike. Logistics operations are resuming promptly, with retail locations being restocked under normal schedules.
Auchan praised its staff for their resilience and coordinated response throughout the attack, urging civilians to adhere strictly to air raid safety protocols.

Following the Aug. 5 strikes, cumulative damages suffered by major commercial players such as Rozetka, Epicentr, and Nova Poshta climbed into the billions of dollars for each company.
The estimated value of Rozetka's destroyed Brovary distribution center totaled $70 million. The e-commerce giant was later forced to implement personnel layoffs.
According to consolidated data, 11 major corporations sustained severe structural damage during the Russian strike on Aug. 5 alone.
17 people were killed across Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast after 28 missiles reached their targets then.
