Fuel giant WOG suffers severe financial hits following massive Russian air raid

WOG fuel giant's primary corporate warehouse asset was completely destroyed following massive overnight Russian missile strikes, the company's Chief Executive Officer and former Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pivovarskyi wrote on July 20.
"We no longer have a warehouse. The material and financial losses are significant. But most importantly, not a single person was killed. Everyone has checked in," Pivovarskyi announced in a formal social media statement.
The CEO urged consumers to remain understanding if certain retail stores and filling stations within the WOG network experience temporary shortages of specific consumer goods over the coming days due to the sudden loss of inventory.
"We are already working to ensure that the consequences of this situation remain minimal for our clients," Pivovarskyi added.
Destruction of the WOG facility represents another severe blow dealt during the massive weekend air raid, which focused heavily on the capital region:
In the overnight assault, Russian forces deployed 41 missiles and 125 strike drones. Defending air defense units successfully intercepted 18 of the incoming missiles and 108 UAVs.
The city-wide toll from the targeted strikes stands at one fatality and 17 individuals wounded. The operation marked the fourth large-scale aerial bombardment directed at the capital region within a 35-day window.
Beyond the WOG facility, falling debris and successful missile impacts caused extensive structural damage to residential apartment complexes, the Lukianivska metro station, and the UKRTAC manufacturing plant.
The raid also completely leveled the Amtel complex in the Bucha district, widely recognized as one of the largest logistics and distribution properties in Ukraine.
High-end retail brands goodwine and Winetime have similarly confirmed the total loss of their main storage spaces and commercial stocks contained within the ruined Amtel hub.
