Ukrainian World Congress launches interactive map of global events to celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is launching a global advocacy campaign, Stand With Ukraine: Help Defend our Independence, in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.
An interactive map to help coordinate and highlight support actions around the world is to play a key role in organizing Global Rally.
The organization calls on Ukrainians and their friends to take to the streets of their cities on August 24, 2024, the Independence Day of Ukraine, and organize peaceful actions, rallies, marches, flash mobs, etc. The key goal is to strengthen the support of the world community and demonstrate the unity, cohesion, and resilience of Ukrainians in the struggle for freedom and independence.
As part of the campaign, UWC has developed a special interactive map for registering all the events that will take place on this day in support of Ukraine. The map will not only demonstrate the unity of Ukrainians all over the world, but also provide global visibility to the actions for Independence Day. Registration of peaceful actions and cultural and educational events can be done by following the link.
UWC urges Ukrainian organizations to use and distribute informational and visual materials for Independence Day, as well as to sign the Declaration on a comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine. Information and advocacy materials are available at the link.
On the occasion of the the Independence of Ukraine 33rd anniversary, SCU in partnership with Saint Javelin launched the global fundraising campaign Ptakhy Svobody (Birds of Freedom), which aims to provide Ukrainian defenders with modern FPV drones. Ukrainians from all over the world and friends of Ukraine are welcomed to join the Birds of Freedom campaign aimed to purchase and deliver Ukrainian-made FPV drones to AFU. These drones will help soldiers receive data from the battlefield in real time and conduct critical reconnaissance operations.
