Ukrainian professional boxer Vasyl Lomachenko has revealed in the Top Rank Boxing documentary Battle Lines: Lomachenko, which was released on Oct. 23, about why he left his native country during war and decided to fight against Jamaine Ortiz, an undefeated American.

"When the situation in Ukraine began to change, I realized that I could not help here, that I was not needed here, because things got much better,” the two-time Olympic champion said.

“Now I have a great motivation. It is greater than before the fight with Teofimo Lopez. I believe that if God granted me another chance, I will use it.”
