Two Indian teachers ran drug lab after watching Breaking Bad
In India, a 25-year-old chemistry teacher and a 35-year-old physics teacher were so inspired by the crime series Breaking Bad that they set up their own drug lab, The Times of India reported.
According to case files, the two educators from Rajasthan rented an apartment and outfitted it just like in the show. They then began producing mephedrone, earning more than $220,000 from several batches before being caught by police.
“We wanted to do everything properly so we wouldn’t get caught. We watched Breaking Bad and decided we could do better than Walter White in the finale,” one of the suspects said.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
