Ukrainian air defense eliminates all Russian drones heading for Kyiv overnight
10 Russian drones were either destroyed or lost in location on the approaches to Kyiv overnight, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on Telegram on March 25.
An air raid alert was declared in the capital once — from 8:59 to 11:26 p.m. EET. Overall, the threat lasted for 2 hours and 27 minutes.
Meanwhile, on the approaches to Kyiv, the air alert lasted until 02:05 on March 25.
10 enemy drones were detected in the outskirts of the capital. The air targets were either destroyed by air defense systems or lost radar contact, therefore failing to reach the city.
Within Kyiv itself, there were no casualties or damage.
On the evening of March 24, an air alert was declared across several Ukrainian oblasts due to the drone threat. As a result of the night attacks, there were injuries in Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, and Poltava oblasts.
The Russian army attacked the city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast with at least 14 strike drones, resulting in a fire at a civilian infrastructure facility.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
