Russia attacked Kharkiv with 14 strike UAVs overnight, striking the city's Slobidskyi, Osnovianskyi, and Kyivskyi districts and leaving two people injured, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on June 1.
The drone strikes damaged 10 residential buildings, mostly blowing out windows. The local power grid, transit contact lines, and a traffic light were also damaged.
Two residents were treated for acute stress reactions.
A nearby five-story residential building sustained severe damage, while other high-rises and civilian vehicles were also damaged in the attack.
The strike ignited a fire covering an area of 20 square meters, which has since been extinguished by emergency rescue workers.
Additionally, a drone strike was recorded in the village of Kotlyary in the Kharkiv district.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
