Ukrainian air defenses down several Kyiv-bound Russian cruise missiles

Several Russian cruise missiles flying toward the capital were shot down by Ukrainian air defense units over a district of Kyiv Oblast, the head of the Main Department of the National Police in the region Andrii Nebytov reported on Telegram on Oct. 22.
He said there were no casualties or damage from the shoot downs, as the debris fell in a forest.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko also reported the shooting down of several missiles.
"Several missiles flying towards Kyiv were shot down by air defense forces," he wrote.
Klychko also urged residents to save electricity and expect there to be some restrictions on its supply.
Earlier, advisor to the President’s Office Oleksiy Arestovych wrote on Facebook about that five missiles in a salvo that were flying towards Kyiv had been shot down.
