Russia's Belgorod left without power, heat and water after strikes

Parts of Russia's Belgorod and the surrounding region experienced disruptions to electricity, heating, and water supply following what local sources described as a missile attack, local Telegram channels wrote late on Feb. 5.
Explosions rocked the city around 10:55 p.m. Local residents reported at least five impacts on the territory of an electrical substation.
The Telegram channel Pepel Belgorod reported that the Frunzenskaya electrical substation in the village of Dragunskoye, Belgorod district, was allegedly hit.
The channel noted that earlier the same day, unidentified drones had already attempted to attack the facility. Later reports claimed that missiles were flying toward the Belgorod thermal power plant.
Russian Telegram sources said that following the strikes, electricity went out in parts of Belgorod, heating problems emerged, and television services were disrupted.
In comments, users complained that outages of electricity, heating, and water were recorded not only in the city itself but also in nearby towns and villages across Oblast.
On Feb. 3, Belgorod and parts of its Oblast reported problems with electricity and water supply after a series of explosions amid a missile alert.
