Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN summit in Cambodia, he reported on Twitter.
Kuleba expressed his gratitude to the United States for their upcoming decisions to support Ukraine with modern weaponry.
“Met with Secretary Blinken,” Kuleba wrote.
“I emphasized that when we see Kherson residents greeting their liberators with tears of joy, we also feel grateful to the U.S. and the American people for all the support.”
UK newspaper The Guardian also reported that Kuleba said that Russia was mobilizing even more conscripts and bringing in additional weapons and ammunition. He called for western countries to continue weapons deliveries to Ukraine.
Blinken hailed the “remarkable courage” of Ukraine’s troops and people and vowed that U.S. support “will continue for as long as it takes” for Ukraine to defeat Russia.
