Polish police dismantled an illegal gambling venue in Warsaw and arrested a Ukrainian national, broadcaster RMF24 reported on Oct. 5.

In the coordinated raid, law enforcement officers confiscated six unlicensed electronic slot machines operating without state regulatory permits, 50 grams of amphetamines, and 6k Polish zloty ($1,540) in cash.

Investigators confirmed that the illicit gaming parlor was concealed inside a commercial shopping pavilion situated in Warsaw’s Wola district.

The detained Ukrainian national was formally charged with running illegal gambling operations — specifically hosting unregistered games on electronic gaming machines without a state license or regulatory concession — for commercial gain. In addition to gambling offenses, prosecutors charged him with the illegal possession of a significant quantity of narcotics.

The criminal proceedings are overseen and prosecuted by the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor's Office.
