Two women aged 75 and 72 were killed in a midnight Russian drone attack on the town of Horodnya in Ukraine’s Chernihiv Oblast, regional Governor Vyacheslav Chaus reported on Telegram on Nov. 18. 

Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes. Several buildings were damaged.

"This was an absolutely despicable attack. The Russians hit the town with attack drones at midnight when people were already asleep," he wrote.

A total of 11 attacks and 23 explosions were recorded in the oblast over the past day.

Overnight, Russian troops fired four Iskander-M ballistic missiles and launched 114 drones at Ukraine.

That same night, a 17-year-old girl was killed and at least nine others, including a 16-year-old boy, were injured in a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Berestyn.
