Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih shaken by Shahed drone attacks

A series of explosions rocked Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih as Russia launched dozens of Shahed attack drones, fires broke out in the cities, local officials Serhii Lysak and Oleksandr Vilkul reported early on Aug. 7.

Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, urged citizens to stay safe.

“Dnipro. Loud. Stay in shelters,” he wrote.

That same night, Russian forces carried out a drone strike on Kryvyi Rih, using Shahed-type kamikaze drones. A series of explosions was heard in the city.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, reported the attack, as well as by local Telegram channels. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the information and issued a warning about drone attack threat.

“Shahed attack on the city continues. A series of explosions,” Vilkul reported around midnight.

The attacks consequences are still being clarified.
