Drones strike Chechnya for the first time, hitting Putin-named Special Forces University
Drones attacked Russia's Putin Special Forces University in the city of Gudermes overnight, Kremlin-appointed Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov claimed on Telegram on Oct. 29.
"A drone attack ignited the roof of an empty building on the grounds of the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes at 6:30 a.m. MSK” he wrote.
According to him, there were no casualties or injuries, and the fire was extinguished.
The pro-Kremlin Russian outlet Shot noted that this was the first drone attack on Chechen territory.
