Ukrainian drones attacked a distribution center belonging to Lenta — one of Russia's largest supermarket chains, controlled by Severgroup, owned by Russian billionaire Alexey Mordashov — for the first time, The Moscow Times wrote on Aug. 4.
"UAV 'crash' occurred on the territory of the Lenta hub in Leningrad Oblast at around 5 a.m. local time," the publication reported.
"Fire broke out at the facility, which took roughly four hours to extinguish, and one company employee suffered burn injuries."
Distribution center temporarily suspended goods intake from suppliers following the incident.
According to the Forbes 2026 ranking, the net worth of Mordashov and his family is estimated at $37 billion, placing him first among Russia's wealthiest business executives.
Ukrainian FP-1 kamikaze drones struck a Wildberries logistics hub in Krasny Bor, Leningrad Oblast, on Aug. 4. The site ranks among the e-commerce giant's largest facilities in northwestern Russia.
Mordashov's Severstal — one of Russia's largest steelmakers, accounting for one-sixth of total domestic steel output — flirted with net losses in early 2026.
In June 2021, Ukraine imposed personal sanctions against Alexey Mordashov, the majority shareholder of Severstal. Sanctions were subsequently levied against him by the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other allied nations.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
