Overnight drone attack targets temporarily occupied Crimea
Explosions were heard in the Saky and Chornomorske districts of Russian-occupied Crimea overnight, the Kremlin-appointed Sevastopol "governor" Mikhail Razvozhayev claimed on Aug. 9.
Propaganda media began reporting on possible drone strikes in the area shortly after 12:40 a.m. MSK, targeting the territory seized by Russian troops.
The occupation authorities later declared an air raid alert across Crimea, initially due to the drone threat and then in response to a potential missile threat.
There were also reports of Russian air defense systems work in response to the suspected attacks.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
