Ukrainian forces eliminate famous pro-Russian boxer from Donetsk
Ukraine’s Defense Forces have eliminated Artem Kudriavets, a former boxer from Donetsk who fought for Russia, Glavkom outlet reported on May 19.
In early April, Russian media reported that Kudriavets was considered missing in action. On May 18, he was buried in Russian-occupied Donetsk.
Born in January 1987, Kudriavets held the title of Master of Sport in boxing and represented Donetsk in national-level competitions.
In 2009, he participated in the prestigious Makar Mazai Memorial tournament in Mariupol, where he competed alongside Oleksandr Usyk, Vasyl Lomachenko, and Artem Dalakian.
After the Russian occupation of Donetsk, Kudriavets sided with the terrorists and was later added to Ukraine’s Myrotvorets database as an assistant to “DPR deputy” Sergey Kovalchuk.
He went on to work as a boxing coach at the Veles club and also served as a boxing referee. In February 2022, he was mobilized to fight for Russia.
