Explosions heard in Crimea, fire breaks out at Belbek airfield
Numerous explosions shook the temporarily occupied Crimea overnight, with a fire breaking out at one of the Russian military airfields after that, Telegram channel Crimean Wind wrote on Oct. 7.
The first explosions were recorded around midnight. Seven explosions were heard near the Saky airfield in Novofedorivka, followed by gunfire, the channel wrote.
Sounds of explosions were audible near Simferopol, some channels noted that drones were flying towards temporarily occupied Simferopol.
An hour later, the channel released a video showing explosions and flashes near Saky. Two minutes later, Crimean Wind reported a fire at the Belbek airfield (near Sevastopol).
"Our source reported at least one strike near the airfield in Novofedorivka," the channel later wrote.
An air raid alert was declared across Crimea.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
