Multiple explosions resounded in Khmelnytskyi, despite no air raid alert being issued in Oblast, regional governor Serhii Tiurin reported on July 31 as authorities investigate the circumstances.
He confirmed that several explosions were heard in the regional center during the daytime. According to preliminary data, no casualties were reported.
"All relevant services are working on site. The circumstances of the incident and detailed information are being established," Tiurin wrote.

Monitoring channels later reported secondary explosions in Khmelnytskyi, with smoke visible above the city.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
