Fire breaks out at Dnipro Hotel on Khreshchatyk, guests evacuated - video

Fire broke out at the Dnipro Hotel, located on Khreshchatyk Street in central Kyiv, City State Administration reported on Feb. 5.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) report said the fire started in one of the hotel rooms on the third floor. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined and will be investigated by law enforcement.
As of 10:06 a.m., the fire had been fully extinguished.
Emergency responders evacuated 57 people from the building, including one child. No fatalities or injuries were reported.
A total of 70 rescuers and 11 units of SES equipment were deployed at the scene.
The State Emergency Service released photos and video footage showing firefighters extinguishing the blaze at the Dnipro Hotel.
Earlier that same night, Kyiv came under a Russian drone attack, leaving at least one person injured and causing damage in several districts of the capital. According to the National Police, two elderly women were affected — one was hospitalized, while the other received medical assistance on site. Authorities also recorded drone debris and facade damage in the Darnytskyi district.
On Jan. 26, a separate fire broke out on Khreshchatyk Street in a four-story office building in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, where structural damage occurred between the second and third floors.
