Drones strike Saratov oil plant and Borisoglebsk strategic sites overnight

Drones attacked the Russian cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk, triggering a fire near an oil refinery in Saratov and another blaze in Borisoglebsk overnight, Telegram channels and OSINT publics reported on July 8.
According to Saratov Oblast governor Roman Busargin, a drone attack threat was declared in the oblast, and all emergency services were placed on high alert.
Restrictions on arriving and departing aircraft were also temporarily introduced at the local airport.
Around 2:40 a.m. local time, Saratov residents reported a series of explosions. Following this, OSINT communities claimed an attack had occurred at the Saratov oil refinery, known as "Cracking (K) plant". Video footage of a fire near the enterprise also appeared online.
OSINT publics wrote that drones attacked Borisoglebsk in Voronezh Oblast, where a fire was also recorded.
However, information regarding the target of the attack varies. Some sources claimed an oil depot was hit, while others report an attack on a military airfield where Su-34, Su-35, and Su-30SM fighter jets, alongside other aircraft, are based.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
