General Staff names places seeing most intensive fighting

Over the past day, Russia’s invasion forces launched five air and 27 missile strikes, and carried out more than 50 rocket attacks, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said in its morning summary on Nov. 18.
Civil infrastructure objects in Balakliya and Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast were damaged by missile attacks; Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Dnipro and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Ochakiv of Mykolaiv Oblast, and Odesa were also attacked.
Russian forces continued shelling attacks:
- In the Siversky section of front — using mortars and artillery close to the settlements of Gremyach and Senkivka in Chernihiv Oblast, and Horky, Seredyna-Buda, Ukrainske and Fotovyzh in Sumy Oblast;
- In the Sloboda section of front — using tanks and artillery of various types in the areas of Hlyboke, Ohirtseve, Osynove, Starytsya and Khatnye settlements in Kharkiv Oblast;
- In the Kupyansk and Lyman sections of front — with tanks and the entire range of artillery in the areas of Berestov, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchane and Tabaivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Kolodyazi in Donetsk Oblast;
- In the Bakhmut section of front — using tanks, mortars, rockets and artillery in the vicinity of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Verkhnyokamianske, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Opytne, Mayorsk, New York, Soledar, Spirne and Yakovlivka in Donetska Oblast;
- In the Avdiivka section of front — using tanks and artillery in the vicinity of Vodyane, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske settlements of Donetsk Oblast;
- In the Novopavlivka section of front — using mortars, rockets and artillery in the vicinity of Bohoyavlenka, Vremivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast;
- In the Zaporizhzhia section of front — using mortars on the settlements of Zaliznychny, Maly Shcherbaky and Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhya Oblast;
- In the Kherson section of front — using artillery and rockets in the vicinity of Antonivka, Odradokamyanka and Chornobayivka in Kherson Oblast.
