Ukraine set to launch domestically produced underwater drones
Ukraine is set to introduce domestically produced underwater drones, National Security Secretary, Oleksiy Danilov, announced on national TV on March 5.
"Unmanned devices operating on water and underwater are of our own production,” he said.
“We are truly grateful to our enterprises, (for) our business with them."
All enemy vessels in Ukrainian waters would face a similar fate to the recently destroyed Russian ship Sergey Kotov, noted Danilov.
"Our Armed Forces will not stop for a day — they will destroy this filth that has invaded our territory,” said Danilov.
“Regarding the Sergey Kotov, it was destroyed in our waters — not international waters. These are our waters, and anything [unwelcomed] appearing there, will be eliminated."
The special unit of Ukrainian Intelligence, Group 13, destroyed the Russian Black Sea Fleet's patrol ship Sergey Kotov using domestically made MAGURA drones on March 5.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
