The body of a woman suspected of attempting to assassinate sanctioned businessman Vadym Yermolaev in Monaco was found near Kyiv, Ukrainska Pravda reported on the evening of July 6.

The publication's sources indicated the body was discovered around 11 p.m. on July 6. According to preliminary data, the woman was shot.

Furthermore, sources told the publication that she had been abroad from March 22, 2025, to July 1, 2026.

As of another law enforcement source, two suspects have already been detained as part of the investigation. Ukrainska Pravda asserts that one of them is an active-duty officer of the Military Intelligence, while the other is a former law enforcement officer.

Interpol had earlier placed 39-year-old Ukrainian Anastasiia Berezovska on its wanted list as a suspect in planting explosives in Monaco, the detonation of which severely injured Yermolaev himself, his partner, and his son.

Explosion in Monaco

A powerful explosion rocked a residential building in Monaco between Boulevard d'Italie and Rue du Révérend Père Louis Frolla on the border with France on the evening of June 29. According to French media, all three victims are members of the same Ukrainian family.

As BFMTV channel reported, the wounded included Vadym Yermolaev, whose net worth was estimated by Forbes magazine at $220 million in 2021, his partner Anna Nasobina, and their son. The parents, aged between 50 and 60, sustained severe injuries, while the 13-year-old teenager's condition was initially assessed as moderate.

Ukrainian Anastasiia Berezovska, who disguised herself as a man, was wanted on suspicion of the attack. Investigators assume the suspect did not act alone.

Vadym Yermolaev is a Ukrainian businessman and one of the largest real estate developers in Dnipro. He has not lived in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

In 2019, he renounced his Ukrainian citizenship after acquiring Cypriot citizenship.

In 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted a National Security and Defense Council decision applying personal sanctions against Yermolaev.
