Drones attacked the Moscow suburbs in Russia, with explosions reported in Sergiyev Posad, and damaging a power substation there, Oksana Yerokhanova, local municipal district head, wrote on July 4.

She claimed that a fire broke out at the substation as a result of the UAV attack. Two men were injured, and six neighborhoods were left without power.

Local authorities blocked off roads near the substation.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have “destroyed” 48 drones overnight, but was yet to mention Moscow Oblast.

The last reported drone attack on Moscow Oblast occurred on June 10. At that time, Russia's aviation authority imposed flight restrictions at all major Moscow airports — Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
