NATO is ready to see Ukraine in its ranks, but only after it defeats the full-scale Russian invasion, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a briefing on Feb. 15.

According to Stoltenberg, NATO’s position on Ukraine has not changed and Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance, but today the focus should be on ensuring that Ukraine wins the war.

The secretary general noted that Ukraine has a window of opportunity to tip the scale in its favor, and time makes all the difference.
