Russia launches 138 drones overnight; 21 hit targets

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight, launching 138 attack drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other UAV types; 110 drones were downed or suppressed, Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Jan. 26.
Around 90 of the enemy targets were of Shahed type.
21 attack drones hit targets at 11 locations, and debris from intercepted UAVs fell at one additional site.
The military warned that the attack was still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
At night, Russia launched Shahed drones across multiple oblasts. The Air Force also issued ballistic missile and cruise missile alerts, including for southern Mykolaiv Oblast.
Russian forces struck the city of Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, causing a fire and damage to residential buildings.
In Sumy municipality, emergency services extinguished a fire in a residential area caused by a Russian strike on the evening of Jan. 25, the State Emergency Service reported. One private home caught fire, and five additional houses were damaged. Preliminary reports indicated no casualties.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
