Partisans cut power to Russian base in Mariupol — report
Ukrainian partisans have disrupted power
supply to a Russian military base in occupied Mariupol,
Donetsk Oblast, city mayoral adviser Petro Andriushchenko said in a Telegram
post on Sept. 25.
"In Mariupol, the resistance has neutralized transformer substations between [Mariupol district] and Stariy Krym village, which provided the occupants' base with electricity," Andriushchenko wrote.
He published a photo from the occupied city, showing thick black smoke rising on the horizon — presumably from the damaged transformer.
Several similar images were also posted in the Mariupol Resistance channel on Telegram.
“The fiery resistance was accompanied by vivid special effects in the form of black smoke and, as a result, an increased level of anxiety,” Andriushchenko concludes.
Earlier, the official reported that Russian troops are building fortifications near Mariupol.
