The Russian Federation has two resources it can fall back on in its war against Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said in an interview with Ukrainian television’s 24 Channel on Nov. 18.
“They have only one or two resources from the point of view of war,” Podolyak said.
“These are their conscripts – (but) no matter how numerous, they still lack training. It’s basically a camp. In the camp, you don't ask people whether they want to fight, die or not. You send them to the front, (and) they die. After that, you can save money on those people,”.
He said the second resource they have is “a state called Iran.”
“Because Russia’s military-industrial complex does not exist,” Podolyak added.
“But Iran also understands that betting on a country that’s clearly going down is very disadvantageous for their own future strategy.
”According to him, Iran can see that Russia will lose.
“In other words, nothing has changed about Russia,” said Podolyak.
“It cannot seize the initiative even situationally on the battlefield. (And) Russia cannot seize the information initiative globally.”
