Russian drones blackout 30,000 homes in Nizhyn

A critical infrastructure facility was targeted in an overnight Russian drone attack on Nizhyn, Chernihiv Oblast, leaving the city partially without electricity and water, regional Governor Vyacheslav Chaus reported on Telegram on Sep. 3.
More than 30,000 households in the Nizhyn district were left without electricity.
There were no reported casualties.
Emergency efforts are ongoing to restore the power supply and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
Overnight, Russian forces launched hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles at Ukraine, primarily targeting the energy grid and railway infrastructure. Western Ukraine was the main focus of the attack.
Earlier that day, Kirovohrad Oblast Governor Andriy Raikovych reported a Russian attack on the railway infrastructure of Ukraine’s railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia in the city of Znamyanka. At least 5 people were hospitalized with injuries.
