Russia claims wave of drone attacks targeting its five oblasts overnight

32 drones were launched against Russian overnight, targeting multiple areas across the country, the aggressor country's Defense Ministry wrote on Jan. 27.

Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed all UAVs, which were allegedly downed over five different oblasts:

  • 15 drones over Voronezh Oblast
  • 11 drones over Belgorod Oblast
  • 4 drones over Kursk Oblast
  • 1 drone each over Oryol and Tver Oblasts.

The Russian government was yet to provide further details on the extent of damage or potential casualties.
