Russian forces opt for small-group tactics in Tokmak, Ukraine
Russian forces are avoiding large-scale mechanized assaults in the Tokmak sector, opting for smaller group operations, Chief of Public Relations of the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Dmytro Pelykh, said on national television on Jan 10.
“Enemy forces are operating in small groups of up to five to ten people,” Pelykh said.
They sometimes use armored vehicles for their assault operations, he added, to assist in forward deployments or for fire control.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
