Russian invasion forces in the south of Ukraine are not ready for active hostilities, but they are building up manpower in this part of the front, Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, said on Ukraine’s EspressoTV channel on Jan. 30.
“In the south, the enemy is not ready to conduct active enterprises in order not to dissipate forces,” Humeniuk said.
“Despite the fact that there are more of them and they increase the mobilization resources, but they are technically unequipped. This is manpower that they are prepared to put out to the front as a barricade,” she said.
Earlier, on Jan. 28, Humeniuk said that the Ukrainian military was continuing to exhaust the enemy in the south, keeping them under fire control and thus preparing for a counter-offensive.
