Drones attacked the Russian city of Saratov, with local Telegram channels reporting that an oil refinery was among the targets hit, Astra Telegram channel wrote on Nov. 14.

The residents heard multiple explosions overnight. Photos and videos posted online showed air defense activity, flashes in the sky, and a large fire.

Saratov Oblast Governor Roman Busargin issued a warning about a drone threat around 2:00 a.m., and later, at 5:00 a.m., said the attack caused damage to “civilian infrastructure.” He did not mention the refinery directly.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
