Invading Russian forces areindiscriminately and almost continuously shelling the town ofSeverodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast, head of the regional administration Serhiy Hayday said in a Telegram messenger post on May 24.
According to the official, the shelling of all settlements in the region is very powerful.
Last night, four people were found dead in one of the high-rise buildings in Severodonetsk.
According to Hayday, when the police officers came to the scene, they found the bodies of two men and a woman with no signs of life. Another woman was seriously injured. She was administered first aid and hospitalized. However, she died while undergoing surgery.
"All four were in the same apartment building. Probably lived there all the time. Or next door," the governor said.
"Yesterday, this street was under heavy shelling, several houses were damaged. At least six in the town. The same number in Lysychansk, where a man was saved in one of the high-rise buildings."
Hayday clarified that four more houses had been destroyed in Zolote and three in Novodruzhesk.
The invaders are continuing to destroying the settlements of Luhansk Oblast, attacking the towns of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk. 10% of the region has remained under Ukrainian control. As of early March, this figure was about 30%.
