Russian artillery attacks targeted Bakhmut and Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast, head of the regional administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said in a Telegram post on July 21.
Downtown Bakhmut, along with a school and an industrial zone in Kramatorsk, were hit in the attacks, according to Kyrylenko.
The school in Kramatorsk partially collapsed. It’s yet unclear if it was occupied at the time.
The strike at Bakhmut set several shipping containers on fire.
Preliminary reports suggest there were no casualties.
After seizing Luhansk Oblast almost entirely, invading Russian forces are now systematically shelling settlements in Donetsk Oblast, such as Slovyansk and Kramatorsk.
